Thanks for responding. My mother has been in the hospital for 22 days, so I've not had too much time to reply or search out the information that you sent me.I'm not sure if your George Cook is the one I'm looking for.My ggrandmother's name was Alma Cook Cheney.I found her in the 1910 Nebraska census and found out that her parents were from Conn.I do know that she visited John and Mayme Cook, Ed and Effie Cook in Indiana in 1919 and these names were also mentioned in her1925 obit. notice. They were probably her brothers and sisters-in-law.I have a Bible with the name Geo. H. Cook written in it.I did finda very similar style signature in the Ill. or In. census for 1860, but the children's names listed with his census are not listed in any of the information I have.I do know that Alma Cook Cheney's gggrandmother's name was Maria Miller. If any of these names are in your family searches, please let me know.I have so very little information and my time is so limited now that I can't search the way I had hoped that I could.I appreciate receiving any and all "bits" of information and will gladly share what I have.
Martha
