John B. Cook born about 1830 in South Carolina

Does anyone know of this John B.(probably Baskin) Cook? I have his parents, James Fenton Cook and Margaret Baskin of Abbeville County, South Carolina. I don't have James' parents, but I have three more generations on Margaret.

He appears in the 1850 Abbeville census and in the 1860 Choctaw County, MS census. I can't find a later trace. He may have served and died in the war.

If you have a John Cook as an ancestor, and/or the names Baskin, Fenton, or Young run through your family, please let me know. I can follow his brother and three sisters, but not John.

I'll be glad to share my tree.
