Hi again,
I have gone through the discussion on Isaac Cook as he is my 4th great grandfather. My hypothise is that he was a son of Joseph and Abigail () Cook. I did locate a death record for Abigail in the Massachusetts Vital Rec. on-line. She died 4 Jun 1860 in Weymouth, MA, age 77 years and was listed as being born in Dover, NH. Her father was listed as Ichabod _______ and no name of mother. Joseph, however I could not locate in Massachusetts and guessing he died in Middleton, NH. They had at least 5 other children besides the supposed Isaac. They were Elizabeth, Almira, Abigail ( her death is listed in the Freewill Baptists Records), William, and Mary. I also found a Joseph Cook who married a Sarah Garland on the 21 May 1861 in New Durham, NH (NHVR). His parents were Joseph and Abigail, also. If you look for this particular Joseph in the census records, he appears as John Cook not Joseph.
Did I read that someone was wondering what happened to Isaac's wife, Elizabeth Peavey? She married Alonzo Downing after the death of Isaac and she died 5 Aug 1899 in Milton, NH age 78 years. Well I hope this helps.
