Hi Patricia,
I may be grasping at straws but there are some coincidental bits of info. First, my g-g-grandfather, James Sanford Cook, was born in NC in 1827. Second, he named one of his sons Albert Brinton Cook, my g-great uncle. So does the B. in your Albert B. Cook stand for Brinton? And do you have any info on James Sanford Cook? I have hit a brick wall on his parents and family in NC and don't have a clue as to where in NC he was born.
