Kindly respond if you have any info on relations of my great grandparents Robert Coogan (3/?/1868 - ?) and Ellen (Brennan) Coogan (4/?/1873 - 6/30/1913), both born in Ireland; Ellen died in Philly. Ellen lived at 1339 Olive St. as of about 12/20/1911. Her death certificate was signed by Mary Brennan living at 2948 Gerrit St. as of 6/30/1913. Ellen was apparently buried at Holy Cross cemetery. Ellen's parents were Martin Brennan and Ellen Comfort. Fmaily lore is that either Robert or Ellen was from Castlecomer, County Kilkenny, Ireland. The 1900 US Census for Philadelphia shows children
John (b. 4/?/1892);
Martin b. March 1897;
Robert b. Sept. 1899 and
my grandmother Helen ("Nellie") Marie (3/5/1894 - 8/26/1961).
I also know there was another child Joseph who became a sailor. There was some sadness that caused my grandmother not to discuss her family or childhood. Any help is appreciated.
