Mary Coogan (perhaps Cogan), identified so on her daughter's death certificate, married Patrick Briscoe. Mary was born in Ireland, in 1842 according to USC. She immigrated in 1851. One family member said she was from Weedsport. I cannot verify that, but one does not come up with the name Weedsport out of the blue. I can track other Coogan family members from Brutus, Cayuga (particularly Joseph and Margaret born around early 1800s and another Joseph and Margaret born around the 1830s), through USC and various gen. listings, but I cannot find Mary, at least not a Mary Coogan born 1842 in Ireland.
Any ideas?
