You will probably get lots of replys from more knowledgable Coody researchers, but I believe Arthur Archibald Coody, Sr. was married to Eughioote, a full blood Cherokee, before he married Edith Vann about 1764. Eughioote was his first wife and does not mean Coody. Prior to Coody the name was Coode, Coad, Codey. I would appreciate information to prove or dispute this. Mary
