I am searching for my g grandmother, Mary Coody. Some records hint she may have been from Texas. The information I have is that in 1875 she married my g grandfather and lived in Choctaw county, Indian Territory.
There, she gave birth to 5 children. Her first, was Barton Fisher whose father was Indian. After she married Stephen Folger in 1875, she gave birth to:
Alice Gertrude Naomi, Steven Van Penoyer, Guy Montraville, and Marvin Winfield Scott Folger.
Mary Coody Folger and Stephen Folger both passed away between 1890 and 1891, leaving the children with no support. The children of Stephen Folger were taken east to be raised by relatives. Barton Fisher (estimated to be about 16 at the time) was left to fend for himself.
