Have been researching the Conway's as a possible connection to my John Dickerson Tatum who may have been in Morgan Co, AL. Denson Conway ( b. 1807 NC) & his wife Nancy D. Tatum (b. 1810 TN) were married in Morgan Co, AL & they were listed in the 1850 Lafayette Co, MS census and Joel Tatum Nancy's father is living with them. His death notices in 1856 states he was formerly of Morgan Co, AL. Would like to find where he is buried. Also Denson & Nancy. They could be the parents of your William Jackson Conway. They were still in MS in 1860 & Nancy still living in 1870 census. This is worth checking out. Let me know if you come across any Tatum info, Thanks.
Glen
