Wm Conway, Famine Emigrant from Mayo
Posted by: Jim Conway Date: July 29, 1998 at 19:12:24

Do any of the Conway relations out there have famime emigrants from Co.Mayo? My G-G-Grandfather, William Conway emigrated to the US between 1848-1855 and had married a Mary Mulholland in Ireland before emigration. He was born between 1826-1830. I don't know what port he landed in but he ended up in Syracuse, NY about 1855, served in the Civil War, and died in Syracuse in 1888. Thanks!
