Hi..I'm trying to trace my CONAWAY family, which has several spelling variations.
CONAWAY, CONWAY, CONOWAY, CONNOWAY.
I can go back to Frederick Conaway b. abt 1775 and that's it.
Several family members went by CONWAY, so I'm wondering if maybe this was the original name??
Here are several names that reappear in the family line.

William (Connoway, Conoway)
John (Conaway)
Wiley (Conaway and Conway)
Frederick (Conaway and Conway)
Dempsey (Conaway)
Benjamin

Lucinda
Winney/Winnie
Nancy
Matilda
Ann/Annie

I'm told Frederick was from NC or VA.
Most of this line went GA>TN>TX
John N. (Fredeick's son) went to TN>IL.
other states some wondered to: AR, AL

Willing to share what I have..
Thanks
Colleen
