Has anyone run across a Wm. R. Conway that was kidnapped off the shore of SC, taken to Cuba for slave labor and brought back years later? I think the piece I read on that said he was 3 years old when he was kidnapped. I had a Wm. R. Conway that was in the Rev. War and has a stone set in Bloomfield, Greene Co., IN, but he is supposed to be buried in a shroud at Ooley's Mill Cemetery in Eastern Greene Co., IN. I am thinking this is the same one that was kidnapped, but not sure. Anyone with information on a Wm R. Conway born before the Rev. please get in touch.
