Conways of Co. Mayo?
Posted by: John Rudman Date: April 28, 1998 at 12:31:46

Hi,
Just started tracing. My grandfather was John Conway and he died
quite young in the Ballinrobe/Claremorris area of Co. Mayo, Eire
around 1941. He had had 3 children, Mary Teresa, Martin and Vincent,
by his wife Anne.
The story is that he came (back?) to Ireland from USA with no little
money, possibly as a result of gold mining. It is possible that there
are relatives from previous relationships still in USA.
Got any clues or suggestions where to go next?
Ta,
JR
