My grandmother, Bertha Irene Hazelwood married Edward Elector Conway early 1980. Their marriage was disolutioned on Apr. 28, 1980. They weren't compatible. He was born in 1891 and died July 20,1985. Buried at Pine Hills Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk, IA. He worked as a Polk County Sheriff's deputy, retired in 1973. He told us stories of watching dangerous criminals, in the jail cell that was in the basement of his residence, a one room apartment on 6th and Euclid. When we knew him he was partially blind. But he was always aware of his surroundings. A quiet man, always wore suspenders, very thick glasses and a hat, we liked him. On his wall was the first dollar he made. Later I heard he married Stella ? and had a stepdaughter named Reta Sehein of New York City.
