If your family tree includes Conways from the parish of Grane, please contact me. On my ancestor John Thomas Conway's headstone in Lee, Massachusetts, he is listed as being born in the parish of Grane, county Kilkenny in 1821. His wife was Ellen Mehan. They married about 1850. His father's name was Richard Conway born about 1800.
From some research it appears that the parish of Grane was grouped in with Urlingford. It is spelled now as Graine, and I am making the intuitive leap that this is the correct parish. If you have other suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!
