Conway and Stewart Connections

We have an Amanda Stewart that was born 1840 in Arkansas. She never varied from saying she was born in 1840 in Arkansas. We have never found her in the house hold with her parents. We tracked down a daughter to daughter etc and had the DNA test. It told us she was related to people with the surnam Conway. She married first William Smoot, and is on the 1860 FT Smith Arkansas census with him and a child. By 1870 William Smoot had died in the war and she married our great grandfather, Daniel Webster Byars in Grayson Co. TX. We have searched all of the 1850 census in the USA. Did her father die before 1850 and her mother remarry? In Polk Co. AR. in 1870 her Smoot children Mary and Burton Charles are shown as Byars children. Was her mother a Conway? Would appreciate any information we can find. Thank you for your time and consideration.
