I am looking for a Thomas Conway Senior who married Mary Moran, she was possibly from Waterford in Ireland. Mary Moran had a brother called John Moran. They had 3 children, James Conway, Cathrine Conway and Thomas Conway (Jr).
I am not quite sure that Thomas Conway Senoir was either Irish or American yet it was said that he was from Philadelphia in the USA. But I'm certain that they had been living in Pontifract, South Yorkshire in England in the year 1903.
Although I am unsure if it is the right Thomas Conway (Senior) I was told by my father that he died in the First World War at the Battle of the Somme on the 1st July 1916 in France. I have traced a Thomas Conway back to the 1stWW with Irish connections from a place called Corratrassna in Ireland but cannot find the place in any old maps, can anyone help ?
Please help I am REALLY struggling as I am finding different birth dates for many of the ancetors, thank you!
