I have a young man safely tucked away in a family plot in Calvary Cemetery in Queens NY whom I have yet to identify as family. His death certificate reads as follows (18926)
John CONWAY male white single age 34 waiter born us parents Thomas CONWAY b Ire Bridget O'CONNOR b Ire residence 513 West 29th St Manhattan New York. Cause of death Tuberculosis (TB) ill from May 29, 1913-June 14, 1913.
The grave was purchased by Mary MEADE ROACH on the date of his death. Could he be a nephew or cousin? Also at rest with John is:
Mary ROACH b Ire died age 50 (25193) she was living in a tennement at 356 9th Ave she was a widow of Dennis ROACH she was in the US 40 yrs at the time of her death. Mary's parents were James MEADE & Mary BURNS both born in ireland undertaker PB McDonnell 362 9th Ave. Mary died of chronic cadio nefrititis disease in ehr apartment.
Also with John CONWAY is Denis or Dennis ROACH (Mary's husband) 356 9th Ave Tennement married age 52 Watchman b Ire in US 26 years parents Dennis ROACH b Ire Ellen BESTOU b Ire undertaker PB McDonnell Denis died of pluero pneumonia.
The last person in the grave I can find NO death certificate for Patrick V DELANEY died 10-4-1913 that estimates his birth at 1873 he was 20 years old (military death?) since he was born in NY I ran a check on births in 1893 NYC and on July 11 a Patrick was born to a Patrick DELANEY & Norah MEAD living at 314 Hudson St Manhattan NY is this his parents, you tell me if you can. However even though the moms name is spelled MEAD not MEADE I would say that Norah & Mary who purchased this grave couls be sisters or cousins. Can you help me untangle this web?
