I am interested in the Dempsey Conway b. abt. 1810. Do you have more information on his family? I found him on the 1860 Lauderdale CO., AL census HH 76.
Dempsy Conway age 50 b. GA
Wife-Emily L. age 30
Caroline age 11
Henry C. age 16
William age 15
Frederick age 12
Dempsey age 8
Edna age 5
Peter age 1
I am trying to find out the parents of a Jethro D. Conway b. 7/1828 in AL, parents b. NC married to a Mary Ryan b. 2/35 b. OH, parents born OH. He ended up in Brazos County, TX by 1870. There was also a Joseph Conway b. 1833 in AL whose parents were born in TN married to a Caroline b. MS, so am looking at TN Conways for both the origin of Joseph Conway (who were his parents? and Jethro D. Conway). Jethro D. Conway was Jethro Dempsey Conway, so I wondered if he could be related to your line??? Please correspond if you have any information that could help me figure out these Conways in MS and AL that ended up in TX. We know that Joseph was in MS for a time as his older children were born there. Jethrod's oldes son was born in MS also.
