This may be far afield but I have a Mahala Conaway m. John Conaway b. 1590 m in 1611. They had a son, Thomas b. 1612, who had a son Thomas b. 1640 who had a son John b. 1654? who married Frances Sinah Spann and had 8 children, the 4th being Mahala. I also have four different Johns who married FSSpann so this may be no help at all. I don;t know when the spelling was changed on this line, but like most of them, it did. I'm still looking for Albert T./J Conway b 20 Jul 1828 in Ohio. I know he existed he had five kids!
