A Joseph Conway, who served in the American Revolution, entered land in what became Greene County, Tennessee, in 1783. He was a prominent citizen and served as a county and state official.

He had sons, Charles Washington Conway, who died in Highland County, Ohio, James; William; Peter; Edward; and Joseph; and daughters Elizabeth and Sarah.
He was granted 3,110 acres in Ohio for his service.

Don't know if this will help or confuse. I have further info about this family.
