In looking through my Conway's of Onslow County, N. C. notes recently I found the name Dyer. This is only a clue for you but hope it helps. "Deed Book N. (1785) November 23, 1784. JUDAH DYER gave to WILLIAM DYER, son of Sally Conoway who was the daughter of William Conoway, deceased, one half of the lot in the town of Swansborough, N. C. which I bought of Cambell Millar, deceased, known as No l., in the Second Street at Jos. Benent's lot and on White Oak River. Test: William Gray, Joel Berment. Rickey
