J.C. I to am one of the nine sons of Thomas Conway. My line is Rev.Joseph C. Conway of Reynolds County, Missouri.
Rev.Joseph C. Conway born 1815 in Tenn., died 1865 in St.Joseph County, Missouri, during the Civil War. His body was carried home and buried in St. Bethey Cemetary.
I was interested in why you wanted futher details of the dates for the nine Conway sons.
We have searched for Conways in Tenn. We know the first son Thomas born in Kentucky in 1806 and the other sons in Tenn.
We also know during the 1800 Kentucky could had been part of
Tenn., and Virginia, and I believe North Carolina. Maybe that is why everyone is getting confused.
The only lead we have is that Rhoda Conway the wife of James
Conway, hurried to Green or White County, Tenn., to pay the back taxes on the family land. When arrived to late the land
had already be audtion off.
I cannot find out how to search land property that had been
auditon off.
Maybe you know how I can go about this? It is confusing because of the similar names of the Conway. James, John,
Joseph, Benjamin, Lewis, Charles, Levi, Jesse, Thomas. Levi
we have no information for him.
Any information you can find will help. Dan and Regina Conway.
