Hi Ann: My g-g-grandfather was William Conway who was born in Ireland abt 1830. I am told that he was from Mayo, married a Mary Mulholland in Ireland and emigrated to the US abt. 1849-55. He settled in Syracuse, NY in 1856 and died here in 1888. He was also a civi war vet serving 1863-1865. I don't know any other information about his parents or siblings.
