I am not related to the Conways. However, I have a gggrandfather, John Shearer Bush, Sr.(1799-1877) who was a very close neighbor and friend to Samuel Conway, Sr. who was a son of John Conway, Sr.(1710-1801)and Elizabeth Bridgewater. Samuel and John Bush were neighbors in Pendleton Co., Kentucky and neighbors after migrating to Miller Township, Marion Co., Missouri about 1820. In fact, John Bush married Margaret Gardner in the home of Samuel Conway, Sr.in 1825.
Another of John Conway, Sr. and Elizabeth Bridgewater was Joseph Conway (1763-1830)who was scalped by the Indians in the siege of Ruddell's Station. He settled in the "BonHomme" District near St. Louis. Be more than happy to exchange ideas and info concerning Conway connections - especially to Samuel Conway, Sr.
