Wendy: This is a name concentrated around Québec and Ontario - probably 75-80% of them live there. Why not look up B.C. listings using Canada’s phone book - http://canada411.sympatico.ca/english/person.asp - use “Search All” or name of Province. You could try the 7 in BC first to see what they know. 6 of the 7 are in Metro Vancouver. For ALBERTA, do separate inquiry - http://www.alberta.com/search/main_frmb.htm - For SASKATCHEWAN, you must use - http://www.mysask.com/search/whitesearch.shtml - Also call the nearest military recruitment centre or library and ask them how to trace info on a former soldie using the number of the dog tag. I suspect he was from Québec or Eastern Ontario (Area Code 613) and was posted to a base or camp in B.C. during the war. He probably lost the tag at that time. You're right - it would be very nice for a close family member to have such a personal keepsake.
