This probably predates your Considine arrival in New York, however,in the book, 'Gangs of New York' by Herbert Asbury, 1928, there is mention of Considine Cafe in NYC in 1829. Book has been made into a film due out in December, 2002, directed by Martin Scorsese, with Leonardo Di Caprio, etc. It is about trouble between Irish already here and the new arrivals on the lower east side.
I'm looking for information on Patrick CONSADINE (Considine)who was in Civil War from Tioga County, PA, in 45th Reg. Co. G. I have strong indication he may have been my great-grandfather, who was born 11 March 1838 and d. 11 May 1903 in Chicago. I need vitals for Partick. May 30, 2002.
