Hello, Michelle...great to hear from you...thanks for the reply!
I could e-mail or mail you the information I have been able to collect re: the Conchere/Conser family (4 pages).
This is what I have on Sarah BENTON b. 26 Nov 1827 Piney Creek (aka Royer) PAd. 27 Nov 1898m. 11 May 1848 Williamsburg, Blair Co. PA David J. IRONS b. 24 Mar 1823 Clover Creek (Altoona), Blair Co. PA d. 12 Jun 1876 Indiana Co. PA (he is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Indiana Co. PA - plot 17I) - he was in the Civil War, Independent Co. under Capt. Thomas E. CAMPBELL - 1860 Census shows East Ward, Altoona, Blair Co. PA - David*, 36, clerk (*mulatto or negro)
children: Charles IRONS b. Abt. 1850
Viola IRONSb. Abt. 1852
Ella IRONS b. Abt. 1855 - in 1870 census, she
is living with R.H. McCORMICK
my ggg-grandfather m. Eleanor 'Ellen'
BENTON, sister of our Sarah BENTON) in
Cherry Tree PA... I BELIEVE THIS IS
WHERE Max HENRICI comes in - my gg-
grandfather E.B. McCORMICK replied to a
letter Max had sent to E.B.'s brother
21 Feb 1934
Juanita IRONS b. Abt. 1859
As you can see, I only have first + last name for the girls - Viola, Ella + Juanita...is Lucy one of them? or another daughter?
Please contact me at my e-mail address [email protected], re: exchange of information...
P.S. I would love to have a copy of the photograph...we have been wondering what "Max" looks like...I don't have any photos of the Conser family, but will gladly send photos of of my ggg- + gg-grandfathers to you, along with a copy of E.B.'s reply to Max, if you are interested. Do you know, is this the 'Max Henrici, Botanist' around the Pittsburgh area?
Waiting to hear from you - Catherine
