Hi Chris Collins - Thank you for your reply re Michael Conroy. I am in possession of The Conroy Chronicles, authored by Raymond Conroy, which you referred. Raymond turns out to be a cousin who was previously unknown to me.
Initially, I thought your info was related to my father; who was, among other things, a professional fighter, as Mickey Conroy - although I have been unable to find much about him. Because of the time frame, I now believe that your Michael was my grandfather; Michael Joseph b: 1871-d: 1929; his wife was Jula B:? d:1938; so there is some discrepancy of date - The McCardel you referred to was my father's sister; Margaret McCardel; who is buried in the Conroy lot in Bellaire OH
While the date death of my grandmother does not correspond with the info you have - I am certain that we are talking about the same person. There was a lot of mystery regarding my father. I know that he left home early but not because of his mother's death - there is a definite Boston connection - one of his daughters from 1st marriage died there.
To fill in the blanks; please give me the dates of birth/death of your family members and info re locations. I appreciate your input and look forward to maintaining contact. By for now. KTC
