Carol, Thanks for the reply. I don't have any concrete evidence of the Conroy Cork connection yet. Hope to soon, as I am expecting John's death certificate in the mail any day now. Then when I find his headstone I hope to be as lucky as I was with my gg gf's Thomas Flanagan (married Margaret Conroy, John's daughter). Thomas' headstone had engraved on it Cloonfree, Cloonfinlough, County Roscommon, Ireland! My Mother remembers her family always saying their family came from Cork in the 1850-60s, which family she is not certain. My g gps were Flanagan, Finnegan, Tighe and Branagan. In the last four years I have traced the Flanagans to Roscommon, the Tighes to Meath and the Branagans to Louth. The Finnegans have been harder to trace and I believe they did not come from Cork. It must have been the "Flanagan side" but in reality it must have been g gm Margaret CONROY Flanagan. Friends of Thomas and Margaret (Conroy) Flanagan in the 1860s were from Cork, especially Rev James T Barry. Friends of Margaret and Children in the early 1900s were also from Cork (Condons and Mohers). The area I traced these people to where Mitchelstown and Fermoy. Hope to find some concrete connection soon. If I find any connection with your William I will let you know! Rob
