This is a long shot, but here goes ! My ex-husband's father was born in North Dakota, possibly in Donnybrook; I know very little of his family, except that he had a sister (name not known), two brothers: Fred and Ernie. My ex is named after his father, who was James Joseph Conroy (Sr), with my ex being Jr. He met and married a Canadian woman named Wilhelmina (who goes by Wilma) in British Columbia, where he made a living as a police officer. No exact birthdates are know, but Wilma is 20 years older than I am; I'm 71 y/o...There are four sons from this union, the oldest being my ex...
My daughter is interested in my genealogy research that I'm currently studying for MY family; so I offered to see if I could at least find a starting point for her to begin her search.
