My ggg-grandmother was Lucy Conroy, born in Ireland about 1833. Ultimately settled in Philadelphia where she married my ggg-grandfather, Thomas Lappan, in 1851 at St. Anne's RC Church in the Port Richmond section of town. Recorded as illiterate on the 1870 Census. She was listed as Thomas' widow in the 1910 Philadelphia City Directory, living at 2709 Ann Street with her son, Michael. Name was possibly Lucille or Louisa with a nickname of Lucy.
