Hi Fellow Conroy Family Researchers, My name is Sharon, and I am researching the Conroy family. My Conroy ancestor was named Ann (e, ie), and according to her childrens' birth certificates was born sometime in the 1820's, in Yorkshire England. In 1846 Ann married a man named James Power in St Mary's Catholic Cathedral, Sydney. Together James and Ann had four children, then in 1858 James disappears. Ann has given birth to my great grandfather Samuel Power Reynolds, who Ann claims is the son of William Reynolds. Ann claims that her and William were married, but I cannot find any record of a death for James, or a marriage between William and Ann. In 1908 Ann dies in Sydney, under the name Reynolds, (her and William having more children together), according to Ann's death certificate her father is a quatermaster, and Ann is born in Ireland. I question the part about Ann's birth in Ireland, because she is consistent when she informed for her childrens' births, and think Yorkshire could be correct. If any one has a connection to this family, I'd love to hear from you...........Sharon Notify Administrator about this message?
