Dear Brenda - I'm so very happy that that we have found each other - I live in Stow OH - midway between Cleveland and Akron - I'm glad that you still live in Valley - if that means you're near by - I would like to visit with you and share information regarding our family - My aunt is the former Peggy Scott (Hurd) - she has lived up in this area for over 30 years - I received a copy The Conroy Chronicles in January - from our cousin, Raymond - He is a generation removed from ours, and has been very helpful, providing me with names, addresses and phone numbers of some relatives I never knew I had - If our generation hopes to leave a record of the family for our children and grandchildren - In the true Irish tradition of Irish women, we need to stay in touch with our senior members - of which I am becoming a part - I have done estemsive research of the ancient Conroy history - as far back as 1628, but the closer I got to my own family, the less success I was having finding the last three generations - Once Conroys hit the shores of this country - with few exceptions - ours being one of them - they scattered to the wind. About me: Kathleen Taylor Conroy - Taylor is my married name - I restored my family name some years ago - long after my husband's death - I have two adult daughters: Christine Marie Apperson - her husband's family (Froehlich) was formerly from Barnesville, her sons are: Brandon Michael Froehlich - My other daughter is: Annette Lynn Smicklevich, her sons are: Jason Lee, and Kevin Robert (Whited) - It was only one week ago that I saw for the first time a picture of my father (Michael Marcus Coleman) - On Mike McCardel has a site at: www.mccardelm.kenyon.edu/familytree/conroy - I am in the process of collecting various eMail addresses for Conroy - And will share those with you - I have stumbbled some tricks with might help you - and add to your enjoyment. There is nothing more that I would enjoy, than to see any pictures or records you might have on the family, especially of my father - I'm so, so happy - I feel like I have found (or been found by) a long-lost family - Oh, that's because I have. Please do stay in touch - Often - As soon as possible, I would like to come visit you and your family. Love K
