My German Quaker ancestor, Thones Kunders,
c1653-1729 was a founder of Germantown, PA.
Often called "CONRAD" most of his descendants
today use CONARD, but Pete Conrad, the moon
man, is from this lineage. Kunders arrived in 1683 and helped found Germantown, PA
There are a very few of the descendants
who use CONRAD; mostly use CONARD, CUNARD,
CONNARD,CUNNARD, and CONERD. There was also
a Rev. John Conrad of Philadelphia who was b
in 1681, often confused with John Cunrads, #
3 son of Thones Kunders, also born 1681.
There were probably a dozen different CONRAD
families in the USA by 1750. I have the
names of several well-informed CONRAD researchers if you want them. Erik Conard
