Baltzer Conrad was born c1766 in Frederick Co., MD. Married Mary Ake (d/o Jacob Ake II, b c1770, Fred. Co., MD) before 1795. Res at Newry, Blair Co., PA. Children: James (b1795), Edward (b1796), John (b1797), Elizabeth (b1798), Isaac (b1800), Henry J. (b1802), Joseph (b1803), Catherine (b1803), Margaret (b1804), Elijah (b1805), Jacob (b1805?), Rebecca (b1806)[gg-grandma!], Jonathan (b1809), David (b1817). First 10 born in MD; last 4 born in PA. Baltzer was master carpenter; wife was superwoman. This accounts for about half the Conrads in PA, at least. Relatives, where are you?
