Dear JoAnne,
My lineage (CONRAD)also starts somewhere in Germany. My GGGrandfather was born abt 1913, in Germany. His father's f/name is unknown but his mother's name was Barbara (?).
They had nine children; the eighth, Edward Joseph, my GGrandfather, b. 5 Oct 1859, Logansport, Cass, Indiana. He married an Elizabeth LANG. They had eleven children: the first (May Josephine) was born in Indiana, the next nine were born in Utah, and the last was born in La Grande, Union, Oregon. The fourth child, Charles Christian "Tod" CONRAD, was my paternal Grandfather.
I notice that Harrison and Cass counties were across the state from each other, however, there could still be a connection, if we could find the right branch. Keep us up to date with what you find.
