There is a marker in the Old Pilgrim Church Cemetery
that was placed there in 1979 that reads:

On September 26, 1737, Johann Georg Conrath, Sr
came from Pfalz, Gemany to Pennsylvania seeking
freedom to worship God, fleeing from despotism,
and tyranny and for teh pursuit of education. His
son, Johann Adam Conrad, Sr. was born Aug 5, 1738 and
baptized into Christ Lutheran Church in York, PA.
Adam Sr. & Christina Boden Conrad came from PA to
Pilgrim in North Carolina c.1763. Their eldest
son, Hans Heinrich (Henry) Conrad 1762 - 1834 was a
deacon in Pilgrim Church in 1811; his wife Susannah
Frank Conrad 1765-1838, Dau. of William and Barbara
WALK Frank. Their eldest son, John David Conrad 1788-1860
was a constablein Davidson County; his wife Eve
Hedrick Conrad 1792-1849, dau of Adam & Barbara Hege
Hedrick. Their children: Alexander Conrad 18111-1878, John
Henderson Conrad 1815-1898, Mary C. Bowers 1819 - 1891, Henry
Hedrick Conrad 1824-1893, Elizabeth C Helper 1835 -c 1861.
Many of our noble and beloved forebears rest in this chruch
yard. We honor their memory and the heritage they passed on
to us.

Hope that the reference to William and Barbara Walk
Frank is of help.
