Looking for information on Capt. Peter Conrad of St. Louis, MO. Peter is belived to have been born in Maryland in January of 1820. He died in St. Louis on 11 July, 1900.
Peter Conrad spent most of his life in St. Louis and was a steamboat captain. At one time owned over 40 sreamboats and was on the Board of Directors of several companies. He was married to Marie Louise Chartrand in St. Louis around 1845. Marie Louise died in 1878. Their daughter ,Cornelia, was my great-grandmother. Other children were Mary, Frank, and Peter. Need information on both Peter and Marie Louise.
