I am looking for informatin about William Conrad who moved to Frostburg, MD and lived there for many years. It seems that many people have crossed him with a William that lived in Harrison, Kentucky at the same time. The William I am researching married Elizabeth Fraley in 1818, not Elizabeth B. in 1817.
I believe William might have come to Frostburg from the Huntingdon, Pa area. There was a Jacob Conrad in the 1800 Census from Huntingon who had male children under that age of 10. That would be the right time for my William whom I believe was born in 1797. One concern I have is that Jacob was listed as older than 45 in that census but had these young children under 10 years of age.
Most everyone show Issac and Margaret Conrad as William's parents but I strongly believe that is the Kentucky William.
I am at a dead end with William (Frostburg) at this point with no hard evidence of his parents.
Anyone have any clues to share?
