Hi Wendy.

I checked the VA grave locator website and did find A David Conrad, born in 1921 and died 1987 in Nebraska. Now, I'm not entirely sure that this is YOUR David Conrad, but it may be worth a look. Here is the link to the database:

http://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/j2ee/servlet/NGL_v1?page_num=2&last_nme=conrad&last_nme_opt=1&first_nme_opt=1&first_nme=david&mid_nme_opt=1

I did locate David with his family of origin as follows in the 1930 census. His name is listed erroneously as David O. Conrad (a simply mistake made by the transcriber):

1930 US Census, MO, Perry, Cinque Hommes, Dist 13, Image 1 of 13, Ancestry.com

Conrad, Gilbert L. 46 married at 22, MO MO MO, Farmer
Flossie A. 45 married at 21, MO MO MO
Loy (?) Son 20 MO
Alma F. 18 MO
Marie A. 16 MO
Ralph H. 14 MO
DAVID R. 8 MO

Living next door is Albert E. Conrad 48 married at 27 MO MO MO and his wife Lillie M. 45 married at 25 MO MO MO. This could be Gilbert's older brother.

According to the Ancestry database:
Gilbert L. Conrad married Flossie A. Murray 23 Sep 1906 in Perry Co., MO.

Gilbert Ludwell Conrad registered for the WW1 Draft and listed his wife Flossie Ann Conrad as his relative in Perryvlle, MO. He states his DOB as 27 Dec 1883.

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you the very best of luck with your continued research.
