Shortly thereafter his family moved to St. Louis, MO where he became a Steamboat owner and Captian and died in 1900. There are hints that his family was somehow related to George Washington. This family is thought to be French but Zweibrucken is a boardertown that often went back and forth between France and Germany. Any information on the Conrads of Hagerstown, MD?
