There is a possibility that your David Andrew Conrad is related to my Conrads family of Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo Co. and Ventura Co. CA. My GGG grandfather, Ephriam Conrad, was born in NC on 01 October 1811. Ephiram Conrad, tailor and farmer, with his wife, Sarah D. Oakly (1812-1897), and their 4 or 5 sons came from Winston Salem North Carolina to Iowa in 1849 in a covered wagon and team of oxen. In 1862 they came from Iowa to CA locating in the San Francisco Bay area. They later moved south to San Luis Obispo Co. and Ventura Co. CA.
Their sons were:
Christian Conrad, not much known.
Julius P. Conrad (1837-1927)
(Judge)John Henry Conrad (1841-1926) My GG of Ventura Co. CA
William Alec Conrad (1846-1941)
Ephiram Frances Conrad (1849-1921)
