Beth: I am related to Michael Conrad. He came to America in 1853 from Prussia (Zaeckerick/Koenigsberg). Wife was Anna Sophie Zeuschner. He had six children before coming to America: Henriette Louise, b.1835; Sohie Wilhelmine, b.1837, Carl Ferdinand, b.19 May 1838 (my ggrandfather); Auguste Louise, b.1842; Therese August, b.1844 and Marie Mathilde, b.1847. This info is per the ships information. Ludwig C. came over in 1854 and his wife's maiden name was Werth. I think they settled in WI, Watertown, because Carl married my ggrandmother in Ixonia, Jeff. Co. on Jan 4, 1867....so that is my only clue that the Conrads were in WI. Most of them went to Norfolk, NE and raised their families. I don't think Ludwig went to NE, though. The Conrad's seem to marry many Huebner's and they came to America in 1846(at least my ggrandmothers family did). If this is any help.....good. Let me know what you know? Cheryn Conrad Gray
