James,
You're right.Since that post, I found the marriage of Hans Conrad in Mietesheim, and he does not appear to be related to my Zutzendorf family at first glance.
For those interested, the marriage record reads, to the best of my ability:
"24 Jun 1703.Hans Conrad lediger gesell Hans Conrad dasse-mahl wohnhafflich zu Huss Critz uber Rhein, Hanazles lands, burger und schmids ehe. sohn; [married to] J[ungfrau] Fronic des Stauben Jacobs ehe. tochter."
24 Jun 1703.Hans Conrad, bachelor, legitimate son of Hans Conrad resident of "Huss Critz" in the Upper Rhine, "Hanazles lands", citizen and blacksmith there; married Veronica, legitimate daughter of Jacob Staub.
"Hanazles lands" may be my misinterpretation of "Hanauische land", i.e. that belonging to the Count of Hanau."Upper Rhine" may be what is now Haut-Rhin, but I'm not sure of that."Huss Critz" could be Harskirchen (now part of Willer), near Saverne, in Bas-Rhin.

PSGriff, Mietesheim is not far to the west of the city of Haguenau, which is north of Strasbourg.
