One of the three sons of my ancestor, John Harmon Conrad, who came to Pocahontas Co. WV from Maryland after the Revolution, was named David. The time looks right. Brothers were Solomon (my ancestor) and John. Solomon settled in Pocohontas but the brothers did not. Perhaps this is the David you seek. But I have been unable to find the Maryland connection or if indeed John Harmon himself was the first of the line in this country.
