I am seeking information on Andrew M. Conrad -DOB unknown; My Andrew
appeared in Marshall County, MS around 1837 and then seems to have
disappeared (not on 1840 census) but, reappears about 1850. He married
Mary Jeffries(Jeffreys) and at her death married Margaret Beasley; He and
Mary had several children including Bill Conrad (my great grandfather -
married Anna Cash ); he and Margaret had one son (Amos). When Andrew
married Mary he had land (Chulahoma Land Records), slaves (Slave census,
1850), and family history says that he never told anyone but Mary where he
came from, but she told that he was from South Carolina. Margaret's son
Amos told his family that his father came from around Bristol (TN or VA)
and none of this is born out by any real fact. I have fairly complete
Conrad family history records from Andrew to the present - no information
on either Mary or Margaret. What I would like to know is - do you have
records on your Andrew M. Conrad?
What does the M. stand for?

I look forward to your reply.
