Start with the Canadian Censuses of 1851 and 1861. These will pinpoint their existence in space and time. From there, go to the nearest and oldest Catholic church. It will likely contain the graves of Thomas, Mary, Phillip and Elizabeth. The church rcds often contain info on their origin, DOB, DOM, DOD, etc. The more info, the better.

From your post, it is likely Thomas & Mary were born in 1822 +/- 4 yrs. This would either have been in Canada or Ireland. SOME Irish rcds exist for this early period; your chances of finding these are about 20%. There were lots of Connors in Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Offaly, and Cork. Early Irish emigrants came mainly from the last 4 counties.
