Sep 1866 Texas - d. after 1937 in San Antonio, Bexar, TX). They had the following children in Texas: Bertie (b. Sep 1889) who married Walter NEIDERT; Olive (b. 21 Oct 1893 - 12 Dec 1937) married 1) Emil Adolph MEYER and 2) Cecil HARVEY; Inez (b. Dec 1894) married William BEVERSDORF; and Florence who married William WILLIAMS. My husband is relation to Emil Adolph MEYER (1892 - 1918) who's parents were Fritz MEYER and Marie SCHMALKOKE. I have pictures of Olive "Ollie" and Emil. Both Olive and Emil are buried at the Herman Sons Lodge Cemetery in San Antonio, Bexar, TX. ******* Henry CONNORS: The 1913 City of San Antonio Directory reflects Henry Connors living with his wife Dora at 323 Marshall; he is a contractor. The 1914, 1915, 1916 Directories reflect Henry Connors living with his wife Dora at 926 Hays; he is a contractor. The 1917 City Directory reflects Henry is a carpenter by trade and living at 926 Hays. The City of SA 1918 Directory reflects Dora Connors, widow of Henry, living at 1015 N. Palmetto with her daughter and son in law W. & Inez Beversdorf. Has a listing that Henry Connors died May 28 1917. Obituary for Henry Connors, May 29, 1917 San Antonio Light, page 12 Henry Connors Henry Connors, 67 years old, died at 7 o'clock Monday night at his residence 926 Hays Street. He was a native of Vermont. Surviving is his widow and four children. Mrs. Walter Neidert, Mrs. W. Beaversdorf, Miss Olive Connors and Miss Florence Connors, all of San Antonio. Mrs. Connors was a carpenter and a member of the Elk's Lodge. The funeral will be held at 5:30 o'clock Tues afternoon from the residence. The 1914 City of San Antonio Directory reflects Olive Connors working at the Mav-Clarke Company and living at 926 Hays. In 1915 and 1916 Directories, Olive is working at Mav-Clarke and living at 926 Hays. As the war escalates, Emil A. Meyer marries Olive Connors on Wed, 8 Aug 1917. They are married by the U.S. Army Chaplain. Emil dies of complication of pneumonia from the world-wide epidemic in military camp at Camp Merritt, New Jersey while at the base hospital. He was 25 years old. According to the San Antonio Express, there were 107,839 deaths in New Jersey from the epidemic by 16 Oct 1918. Obituaries for Emil Meyer ran in the San Antonio Express (The San Antonio Express, Oct 19, 1918 (c) and 21 Oct 1918, page 12 (d)) and the San Antonio Light October 17, 1918 (a), page 9 and Oct 21, 1918 page 10, (b) Olive has a lovely tombstone for her husband: In Memory of my beloved Olive is listed in the 1921/22 Directory as Mrs. Olive Meyer working as a bookeeper at San Antonio News Agency, a wholesale news dealer on 437 Main Avenue. Her residence is listed as 610 Nolan Street. The owner of the address is Mrs. J.H. Paul. She is listed in the 1922/23 City of SA Directory as Mrs. Olive Meyer and she continues working at San Antonio News Agency as bookeeper, but her residence is now 808 Camden which is owned by F.W. and Mattie Melvin. The 1927-28 City of SA Directory reflect Olive Meyer (wid. Emil) as living at 525 E. Elmira. She does not show up in the Directory in 1929-1930 and probably remarried at this time to Cecil Harvey. The 1931/32 directory reflects Olive Harvey (wid Cecil) as a slsmn of Wolff & Max with home address of 418 St. Charles. Olive dies on Dec 12, 1937 at the age of 44. Obituary: The San Antonio Express, Tuesday, December 14, 1937, page 17 Harvey, Mrs. Olive Meyer Harvey, age 44 years, died at her home 408 St. Charles St, Sunday night. Surviving are mother, Mrs. Dora Connors and sisters Mrs. Neidert, Mrs. William Beversdorf, and Mrs. William Williams. Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Porter Loring Chapel, with interment at Hermann Sons Cemetery.
Harvey Olive is interred in Lot 62, grave #2 beside her first husband, Emil Adolph Meyer at the Hermann Sons Cemetery. She has no headstone and there is no marker.
