I am researching John H. CONNORS, born Nova Scotia around 1850, married Cate GAMBIER (born PEI) in Boston November 1867. They had three daughters, Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine and John T. Mary was born in Boston, the other children in Halifax, Nova Scotia. John H. was the proprietor of an oyster saloon in Halifax through the late 1870's and 1880s. After Cate (Catherine) died he remarried - Mary Ann Keating, of Irish extraction, born in Nova Scotia. I am looking for hints on this family's being in Boston and their return to Nova Scotia. John was just 22, and Cate 18 when married. John's parents are Thomas Connors and Mary, of whom I know nothing. Cate's parents are Philip and Elizabeth, who likewise I know nothing of. Thank you.
